Everything is in place to start the demo on Leslye and Ben’s kitchen next week! Their home is going to be completely transformed with a new kitchen designed around the removal of two walls to connect their kitchen to the living spaces beyond. Leslye spends a lot of time in her kitchen and is eager to have a space that provides more storage, a larger stove, a functional island and most importantly – room for friends and family to gather! Their current kitchen is closed off from the rooms beyond with the exception of two arched entries – one that leads to the formal living room in the front of the house and one that leads to the back of a small dining space in the middle of the home. The arched entries and the walls that they occupy will be removed, which will open the kitchen to both the living room and the dining room, and will make room for a large island with seating. The current dining space will gain enough square footage to accommodate a larger dining table, offering even more room for entertaining. Check out all the “Before” pictures of Leslye’s kitchen in the slideshow below – it won’t look like this for long! We cannot wait to share this process with you and Leslye will be doing so as well.
