At KBF Design Gallery, we believe your home should reflect both your lifestyle and your personality—while remaining timeless, functional, and inviting. For our wonderful clients on beautiful Johns Lake in Winter Garden, Florida, we had the privilege of remodeling and designing their kitchen, bar, dining, and living spaces. The result is a serene, light-filled home that flows effortlessly from one room to the next.
The Kitchen: Heart of the Home
The original kitchen layout offered plenty of space, but it lacked the custom details and character that our clients envisioned. Our remodel began with the centerpiece island: a dramatic waterfall edge that not only creates visual impact but also provides ample seating for family and guests.
We balanced crisp white cabinetry with deep-toned island cabinetry for contrast, tying the two together with brushed brass hardware that elevates the entire look. A sculptural custom range hood, accented in natural wood, adds warmth and architectural detail above the new cooktop.
The backsplash is a showstopper—a soft, shimmery mosaic in a scallop pattern that introduces subtle texture and reflects the natural light streaming in from the lakeside windows. Every selection was intentional: sophisticated, yet approachable, designed to feel fresh and timeless for years to come.

The Custom Bar: Function Meets Elegance
To extend storage and create a dedicated entertaining space, we designed and built a custom bar area that seamlessly integrates into the home’s open floor plan. Featuring warm natural wood cabinetry, glass-front uppers, and a built-in wine refrigerator, the bar blends function with style.
Framed glass shelving with brass accents allows for curated display of glassware and accessories, while practical cabinetry below keeps essentials tucked away. Whether hosting a dinner party or enjoying a quiet evening at home, this bar offers both convenience and beauty.
Dining Room: Light and Inviting
Just off the kitchen, the dining room reflects the same balance of elegance and comfort. A sleek glass dining table paired with blue upholstered chairs creates a modern yet approachable space for gathering. Sculptural pendant lighting with brass details ties the room back to the kitchen finishes, while sheer drapery allows natural light to fill the room without compromising on privacy.
Every element works together to create a space that feels open and airy, yet intimate and welcoming.
Living Room: Comfortable Sophistication
The living room was designed as the heart of relaxation, with soft textures, layered neutrals, and statement art. A large sectional anchors the seating area, paired with modern black accent chairs in leather and stainless steel. A natural wood coffee table adds warmth, while a neutral area rug grounds the space and ties the furniture together.
On the walls, oversized abstract artwork adds both scale and subtle color, enhancing the serene palette. Thoughtful accents—from sculptural lamps to organic florals—make the space feel personal and polished without overpowering the calm, airy atmosphere.
Design Harmony Throughout
What makes this remodel so successful is the harmony of the floorplan, finishes, and furnishings. The continuous wood-look tile flooring runs throughout, visually connecting each space and enhancing the home’s flow. The color palette of soft whites, warm woods, brass, and subtle color accents creates unity, while each room still offers its own unique personality.
The result is a home that feels peaceful, welcoming, and functional—the perfect backdrop for lakeside living.
