Cottage-Feel Kitchen Remodel

Our clients loved their older Maitland home — but the dark, closed-off kitchen never matched its warm soul.

Our goal: a kitchen that looks like it has always belonged here. We started by designing a custom furniture-style island in moody vintage sage to anchor the room, with turned legs, a brass foot rail, and a soft white quartz top.

Next, we designed the perimeter in warm white inset shaker cabinetry, brass cup pulls, and a custom paneled range hood to replace the heavy original finishes. A continuous quartz slab backsplash captures your eye when entering the space, adding warmth and and a natural look.

The forgotten desk corner is now a dedicated coffee bar — open walnut shelves, glossy white subway tile, brass pendant, and a built-in microwave drawer.

A deep soapstone-look apron-front sink, antique brass bridge faucet, and true divided-light glass-front cabinets tie everything back to the home’s older-home roots.

Same general footprint. Same bones. A kitchen that finally feels like it has been here all along.
