Winter Park Townhome Remodel

When our clients purchased their home a few years ago, they saw the potential for the kitchen to better reflect their style and make smarter use of the space. After living in it for a while, they were ready to take the plunge — and entrusted KBF with creating the new design.

From our first walk-through, we knew their instincts were spot on. The light-filled space had so much untapped potential, limited by the original layout and finishes. The existing kitchen featured a horizontally oriented island with a high/low countertop that created a visual and physical barrier between the kitchen and the living area.

Our redesigned layout shifted the island vertically, opening up the space and creating a seamless connection between the two rooms. The result is a dramatic improvement in both flow and sightlines, making the entire area feel more expansive, cohesive, and welcoming.

The new quartz waterfall-edge island now anchors the kitchen with sculptural elegance — a modern focal point that sets the tone for the entire home. Warm walnut cabinetry continues from the kitchen into the custom entertainment wall, adding depth and continuity throughout the open-concept living area. Minimalist hardware, a fluted marble tile backsplash, and geometric wallpaper offer layered texture and understated sophistication.

To complete the look, the nearby powder room mirrors the same finishes, extending the cohesive, custom-designed aesthetic.

Enjoy the tour — we hope it sparks inspiration for what’s possible in your own home!
