What You're Reserving
One retainer. A held place in a deliberately small calendar.
A held start slot
KBF takes on about five project starts per month, on purpose. Your $1,500 reservation retainer holds your place in that production calendar — priority capacity, reserved to you.
Your design phase, started
The retainer starts your design work: the measure visit at your home, your streamlined plan set, and your designer-curated palette session.
Credited in full
Every dollar of the retainer is credited toward your project. It is a head start, not a fee on top.
Refundable until your measure visit
Cancel any time before the measure visit and the retainer is refunded in full. For larger scopes — including whole-home remove-and-replace — the balance of your full design retainer is set at the measure visit, and your $1,500 is credited toward it.

Reserving, Answered
What exactly am I paying for when I reserve?
A reservation retainer for Studio KBF design services and priority capacity: it holds your place in a production calendar of about five project starts per month and begins your design phase — the measure visit, your plan set, and your curated palette session. It is credited toward your project in full.
Is the design retainer refundable?
Yes — fully refundable if you cancel before your measure visit. After the measure visit, your design work is underway and the retainer applies to it.
Does the retainer count toward my remodel cost?
Yes, in full. Every dollar is credited toward your project.
What happens right after I pay?
A KBF team member calls you within one business hour to confirm your project and schedule your measure visit, which happens within five business days.
What is the measure visit?
A KBF designer documents your rooms — measurements, existing conditions, photos — confirms your project fits Studio KBF, and sets your design calendar. It's the moment your project becomes real, which is why the retainer is refundable up to that point.
I don't want to pay online yet — can I just book a consultation?
Absolutely. Use the consultation form on this page, the contact page, or call 407-830-7703. The consultation is complimentary and we respond within one business day.
Can I reserve for my whole house?
Yes — if it's remove-and-replace with your layout kept, whole-home projects reserve here. The gate is complexity, not size. Moving walls or structural work routes you to a Signature consultation instead.
Could the retainer amount change after the measure visit?
For larger scopes — including whole-home remove-and-replace — the balance of your full design retainer is set at the measure visit, based on your project's real scope. Your $1,500 holds your priority either way and is credited toward it.
Is my payment and information secure?
Payments are processed by Stripe, a leading payments platform — KBF never sees or stores your card details. Your project details go only to the KBF team handling your reservation.
How real is "next available start" — is my slot actually held?
Real. KBF deliberately takes on about five project starts per month, and reservations are honored in the order they're received. That's the point of reserving: your place in the calendar is held to you, and it's refundable until your measure visit.
Ready when you are.
Reserve your start date above — refundable until your measure visit — or start with a complimentary consultation. Either way, it's the same KBF team.
