Kitchen Organization Goals

Who doesn’t crave a clutter-free and organized kitchen? A well-planned kitchen includes not only space for everything – food, cookware, utensils, small appliances, glassware, serveware, and all the other things we keep and use in our kitchens – but also the accessability of those things. Storage should coordinate with how and where you use these items and they should be easy to retrieve and to put away. Our first consideration when we begin designing your kitchen is how you use your kitchen. Do you entertain? Do you love to bake? What small appliances do you use regularly: mixers, juicers, toasters, coffee makers, crock pots, pressure cookers, blenders? Because cabinetry can accomodate all of it to keep your countertops clutter free, and a successful kitchen design will have accessible space for all of it. Your kitchen cabinetry can conceal (yet keep close at hand) spice racks and mixer lifts, pull-out shelving and lazy Susans, deep drawers that can handle crock pots and other small appliances, and inserts of every kind to organize knives, large utensils, plates, glassware – the list is almost endless. Cabinets and drawers can include lighting and interior outlets to charge your electronic devices. Scroll through the slideshow below to see examples of how we incorporated storage solutions in the cabinetry in some recent kitchen remodels. Which would you love to have in your new kitchen?
